Fieldtrip

As a part of our education we conducted a fieldtrip on December 6th inckuding all students and teachers. We decided many places that are both advantageous to all optional students. First we go to pandalam palace, a cultural heritage one, ayyappa temple is one of the most attraction associated with it. Salagram, thaalioala, meadekkal thirumuttam, thiruvabharanam are the major attraction of pandalam palace. Secondly we go to muloor smarakam situated in pathanamthitta is the memorial of padmanabha panicker a renowned social reformer and poet. Next we go to pathanamthitta milma diary to understand the importance of KCMMF and the production of milk and milk products through different process. Then lastly we go to Konni ecotourism,famous for scientific beauty with its green land and thick forest with wild animals. An elephant training centres makes that place an important tourist attraction of thus locality. The adavi ecotourism Project is a part of the third phase of Konni Ecotourism project. The kottavanji ride is arranged in Kallar river and the main attraction is the lush green forest on the banks. It was an enjoyable experiance to both teachers and students.

Bio farming project

In association with kerala govt agriculture dept a biofarming project was initiated in our college. It was on 22 October 2018. Monday its official inaguration was held on the farm land was designed with in the college campus. The bio farming was funded three fourth by the agriculture dept and rest by the college management. This bio farming was based on the procedure of fertigation in which fertilizers are provided with irrigation through underground pipes. Bitterguard ,chilly ,ladies finger etc were planted in the ground. Officers of agriculture dept, councilor of kottarakara muncipality college administrators teachers and we students are participated on the inaguration meeting.

Physical science association

First association programme of BEd physical science 2018-2020 batch was conducted on October 26 under the guidance of our class teacher Sharoan miss. Our principal Roy sir officially declared our name of the group "SPECTRA". The programme was started by memorising by the famous violinist Balabhaskar. An inspirational video was there at the beginning. Many interesting programme like dances ,songs, skit games were included. Gift were given to the winners.

Sports

As a part of education sports was conducted on 17th october 2018. The students was.divided into three groups. First group name is Ruby, second is Pearl, and third one is Diamond. There are two categories for sports. Chess and badminton. Students was actively participated according to their aptitude and skill. I took badminton, finally i got second prize for badminton. At last the results Badminton singles and doubles Ruby got first place and in C hess Pearl got first prize. At last snacks was distributed for students. All the students were enjoy the sportsmeet.

MICROTEACHING CLASS

On 15/10/2018 Microteaching class started,
                         Microteaching is a scaled down sample of teaching in which a teacher teaches a small unit to a small group of 5 to 10 students for a small period of time 5 to 10 minute.
   This approach were practised by all the first year students in our college. This teaching training procedure is used to reduce the complexities of actual teaching. There are different skill associated with microteaching. The teachers in various dept gave two skills for each students. I got two skills, " Skill of demonstration & Skill of pupil's participation ".
    First skill is the demonstration, am selected the topic based on Bohr's Model of Atom in chemistry. That bohr atom model similar to solar system, so i demonstrate the solar system. All are very interestingly participate that class.

     Second skill is the pupils participation, i selected the topic based on Force in Physics. I share many examples related to force in our daily life. Pupils were actively participated the class.
   
     At last our teacher gave a score sheet based on our teaching performance. It was very good experiance for us and  was very interesting.

STARTED THE FIRST ASSOCIATION PROGRAMME OF 2018-2020 BATCH BEGINS

The first association programme was conducted by the malayalam option. Very interesting programme were included. Our principal officialy declared the name of the group " Aurushi". Many games,dances and songs were included in thier programme. Gifts were also given to winners.

AWARENESS CLASS

On 28/09/2018 an awareness class was taken by Mr Ashwinth sir, Excise dept ptpm. It was about the topic "Drug abuse". The topic was very relevant in our society, also he delivered it very interestingly. After the class, there was also a chance to clarify our doubt. It was very useful for us.

Socially useful productive work(SUPW)

An art education class was organised as the part of oct 2, 2018. Under the guidance of Mohanlal sir music tr of HSS sadananthapuram an inevtable and ecofriendly paper carry bag was learned. At noon we had Light food prepared for the students in the college premise itself. After the refreshments, College premise and classromms was cleaned. The programme was ended with the national anthem.

Moving bookstall

A mobile bookstall of Kerala samskarika vakuppu came to our college.IT was very useful and encouraging for us.The expo was conducted on july 11. It continued 2days in our college.Many useful book were in the stall.To intiate learning by doing is the motto Of conducting this type of programmes.

Debate based on ICT

We had conducted a debate based on  importance of ICT in our society on july 27 th.Debate was held under the guidance of Roy sir. Neethu from malayalam option monitored the debate.debate was from 12 pm to 1pm.We are divided into two groups.One group favour ICt and other against it.All of us actively participated in that debate.We discussed about the merit and demerit of ICT of different field.At last concluded that ICT is very  useful for our a
society and don't misuse it.

On August 31 st, Our seniors gave fresher's party. First we introduced ourselves infront of the stage. Then they gave simple funny task. Everyone do and enjoy the task. It was an awesome day.

On August month Kerala people faced a difficult situation"Flood".Some of the district where ib water.They lost houses,shops and everything.Due to this problem many people gave donations.Our college also collected money from students and One of our senior student was in water they lost everything.So half of the collected money was handover by

the Principal and Union Chairman.

On teacher's day, the college cnducted a function. Dr. C Unnikrishnan, Malayalam department head DB college was the guest. He gave a good speech. Every students participated in that event.

Art education

September 11,2018,On the part of art education, we made several items. First item was introduced by shamna and she taught how to make a beautiful doll with cotton woollen thread. We all are intersted to made that doll. Then we made rose flower with a tissue paper consisting of different colours,introduced by sandra. After that, we construct  a 3D geometrical cube described by JasmiThen we studied to make hibiscus flower with a pieces of clothes/Atlast the end  our friend bijin taught to decorate a glass bottle/ plastic bottle with different colourful materials.
